Regulations:

Online it is very hard to restrict and control what is displayed to the public. This makes it very easy for the public to view content that does not follow UK law. This puts the audience in danger as they could have access to illegal content. Charities some what differ as they still have to follow the UK regulations however they also have regulations set by the NCVO and the charity commission which all charities have to follow. One of these regulations is that "Charities with income over £10,000 must publish their regulation number and name on online publications." Furthermore it also restricts charities from posting sensitive content. Such as if a charity were raising awareness of child abuse they would not be able to have a picture of a sexually/physically abused child on their website as it is invading the child's privacy and the content would not follow the regulations of the UK.

I think regulations on the internet are not strict enough as their is hundreds of thousands of website that display illegal content which the public can easily access. However it is very hard to control everything that is published as it is on a very large scale.
