Regulations: Online it is very hard to restrict and control what is displayed to the public. This makes it very easy for the public to view content that does not follow UK law. This puts the audience in danger as they could have access to illegal content. Charities some what differ as they still have to follow the UK regulations however they also have regulations set by the NCVO and the charity commission which all charities have to follow. One of these regulations is that "Charities with income over £10,000 must publish their regulation number and name on online publications." Furthermore it also restricts charities from posting sensitive content. Such as if a charity were raising awareness of child abuse they would not be able to have a picture of a sexually/physically abused child on their website as it is invading the child's privacy and the content would not follow the regulations of the UK. I think regulations on the internet are not strict enough as their is h...

Re draft - Audience research: For our audience research we produced an anonymous survey which gives us an insight into how teenagers have been effected by bullying. We handed the survey out to a number of teenagers between the age range of 11 and 17. We then placed the results in a pie chart which allowed us to see which media product would be the most successful way to raise awareness on bulling. The results will also allow us to see what age range of people are effected most by bulling. These are the results from our survey. From the results we can see that girls are effected more by bulling rather than boys. The results also show that the age most affected by bulling is between 11 and 13 years old. This means that when i create my media product i will aim the designs at young teenagers as they are the age group that need the most support. I am also going to make either a website or poster as these were the most requested by the students. Furthermore i am also g...

Evaluation: The main messages I wanted to convey in my media product is that awareness needs to be raised around the topic of bullying and that it needs to be prevented. To do this i created an interactive website which allows people an insight into what the charity can do to help raise awareness of bulling and if there is a victim of bullying there are ways they can get support through the charity. My production plan for the website follows the codes and conventions of typical websites. This is because on my website i have included key features such as a bold company name across the top of the page and a company logo in the top right hand corner. i have also added an interactive feature which is a documentary viewers can watch. This makes the website more appealing and useful as it will allow the audience to gain a further insight into how victims are effected long term from bullying. Furthermore my website also has a bar along the top which allows people further access to other pag...

Website designs: I aimed my website at young teenagers as this was the most frequent age bullying occurs in a persons life according to my research. I used bright, pastel colours which represent happiness and positivity. When designing the logo i used many different colours to show that the world is diverse and that victims shouldn't be bullied because of who they are as everyone is different. Furthermore on the website i added a fundraising event which the public can get involved in. This will make the website more appealing and useful as it allows everyone to get involved raising awareness. Furthermore on the website i included a documentary page as this was requested on the survey. This will allow the public an insight onto how regular people suffer from bullying on a daily basis. Finally i used a font for the information and headings which is informal and personal so it will appeal to the target audience as it is familiar. This makes it more approachable for the teenager...

Analysis: The target audience for this website is teenagers and young adults. This is portrayed by the images, videos and anecdotes on the websites as they are all of teenagers therefore it shows these are the most effected by bulling. The website is all in black white and grey apart from key parts of the website. The connotations of black and grey are depressing and dark which could reflect the serious nature of bulling. It could also be used to show how bulling can leave long term effects on the victims and leave them feeling lonely and depressed. The website however has two bright red and white buttons which stands out. The buttons are for support and help of the charity which is a useful tool on the website. The website also has many video clips and documentaries which makes the website interactive. It allows the audience to gain an insight view into bullying and is a useful feature on the website. I think this poster is successful as it has a key short message across the ...
